Tanks or Buses - UK - A domino effect on badly-driven buses
UK -hamhighbroadway, by PETER DRAPER -18 Nov 2005: -- Some drivers, a small but real minority, drive their buses like tanks!... It doesn't matter if a rather frail person has just got on and not had chance to sit down, a few drivers let the clutch in as if they were in a race - and everyone standing lurches - sometimes someone falls. I'm amazed it doesn't happen much more often... When it comes to braking, a few drivers seem to try ever so hard to play 'passenger dominoes' with those standing. It must be great fun - for the drivers!... Is the underlying problem one of poor training, daft schedules or poor management? It can't be a problem of poor supervision - one never ever sees a supervisor these days...
