Production - India - Swaraj Mazda to make luxury buses
Chennai,India -Chennai Online -Nov 19, 2005: -- In an effort to cater to the growing demand for luxury buses, Swaraj Mazda is planning to launch an in-house manufacturing facility for 9,000 buses per annum... The company, which made Rs 37 crore profit last year, has also chalked out plans to increase production capacity (of various vehicles) from the present 12,000 units per year to 36,000 units... Apart from the newly launched 32 seater luxury buses, Swaraj Mazda plans to introduce 12-seater, 24-seater and 41-seater buses on Indian roads. "Twelve-seater maxi-taxi cabs will be introduced in the next three months and 24-seater luxury buses by 2007-08," he said, adding that the company had tied up with two leading R & D firms in Malaysia to build these buses...
