* Ireland - Industrial action cloud hangs over Bus Eireann
Dublin,Ireland -Irish Trucker News (UK) -10 May 2013: -- Bus Éireann passengers could be hit by travel disruption in the near future, the company has warned and this could lead to major traffic disruption in Dublin city... It comes after the company insisted it will press ahead with the implementation of controversial cost reduction measures... Bus Éireann warned that it is highly likely that it will breach Section 40 of the Companies Act if essential savings contained in a recent Labour Court recommendation are not implemented. In February, the Labour Court recommended a number of measures that will deliver approximately €5m in payroll savings... Bus Éireann said that it intends to implement those measures from Sunday... However staff are threatening strike action if the cuts go ahead...
