* Germany - MAN integrates truck and bus brands in Mexico

Munich,Germany -MAN/Pressemitteilungen -19 July 2010: -- MAN is to bundle production and sales of trucks and buses at its Querétaro site in Mexico. MAN- and VW-branded vehicles are now to be assembled and sold under the management of MAN Latin America... The light truck model that will now be assembled in Querétaro will be fitted with MAN engines for the first time... Only MAN buses are currently produced in Querétaro. This will now be expanded to include the assembly of VW-branded trucks, which used to take place in the Mexican city of Puebla... The number of jobs will continue to rise in the medium term. MAN Latin America employees in Puebla who do not wish to move to Querétaro will be offered jobs in Volkswagen car and van production in Puebla...


* China - Top 10 bus makers in January

Shanghai,SH,China -Gasgoo.com/Auto Parts Market Place –13 July 2010: -- China sold a total of 32,600 buses in domestic market in January, down 18.56 percent month-on-month and up 20.29 percent year-on-year, according to a report prepared by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAC).The top ten biggest bus sellers sold a total 22,700 buses in Chinese market in January, which represents 69.63 percent of Chinese bus market, according to the CAAM report. * India - Tata Motors buses for Commonwealth Games will be disabled-friendly

Mumbai,India -Business Daily/THE HINDU, by Manu P. Toms -Jul 20, 2010: -- Tata Motors will deliver disabled-friendly vehicles to the Delhi Government for the Commonwealth Games this year... The company won the contract to supply vehicles for the Games that begin in October... The company will showcase its hybrid buses as well during the event — these are likely to be CNG-plus-electric technology vehicles that assure 20 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency... Tata Motors will also supply small commercial vehicles such as the Ace and its passenger range for the Games... Mr Pisharody said the company had also ramped up capacity in its joint venture plant with Marcopolo in Dharwad, Karnataka, that rolls out 1,000 fully-built buses a month... * UK - Plans for 'green' buses on Scots roads by next year

Electric-hybrid buses could be seen on Scotland's roads early next year, a Falkirk bus manufacturer has said

Falkirk,Scotland,UK -BBC News -15 July 2010: ... Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) said its "green" buses are aimed at cutting C02 emissions by about 35% ... Its buses have already been running in London for 20 months and a new fleet has now been launched in Oxford... The electric-hybrid buses and are part-funded by the government's Green Bus Fund, which has been introduced to kick-start the purchase of low-emission hybrid and electric buses... ADL won the lion's share of the initial Green Bus Fund and now has about 120 electric-hybrids in the production pipeline...
