Perthshire,Scotland,UK -The Perthshire Advertiser -Jul 12 2009: -- Councils should be given £15 million to help develop a fleet of pollution-free vehicles, Labour leader, Iain Gray, has said... Of the 20,000-plus vehicles operated by Scotland's local authorities, just 23 are either electric or hybrid, Mr Gray said... But he said this £15 million from Government - which would be matched with money from councils - will allow local authorities to buy 2,000 new electric vehicles...
