Seeking a 52% Pay Rise * UK - Anger over bus pay claim adverts
Aberdeen,UK -BBC News -3 July 2009: -- First Bus in Aberdeen has placed adverts in local newspapers claiming that staff are seeking a 52% pay rise... The move has sparked a furious response from the T&G Unite union, which is currently balloting members over industrial action over wages... The result of the ballot is expected on 7 July... The company confirmed it had taken out the adverts, but the union's regional organiser, Tommy Campbell, said the claim was "absurd"... The union is recommending a vote in favour of industrial action this summer... (Picture: The result of the ballot is expected on 7 July)
