Intercity Buses * USA - Are worth a try
Charleston,SC,USA-The Charleston Daily Mail -January 7, 2009: -- The U.S. will see $4 gasoline again, and needs to explore how it will cope... This week, Tri-State Transit Authority in Huntington and Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority in Charleston began offering commuters twice-daily bus service between the state's two largest cities... It remains to be seen how successful Intelligent Transit will be in weaning people away from using their personal vehicles, or how it will be funded in the long term... The program currently charges $3 for a one-way ticket. If private enterprise could make a profit at that rate, chances are some entrepreneur would be doing it...
