Police in Dong Nai Province Tuesday seized two buses masquerading as public buses
Dong Nai,Vietnam -Chao-Vietnam -January 7, 2009: -- Dong Nai traffic police went to Vung Tau three-way crossroads in Bien Hoa Town’s Long Binh Tan Ward after receiving reports that a bus, with license plate 72M 9756, had been parked there for more than 30 minutes awaiting passengers... Driver D.V.C surrendered the fake “Bus No. 11” sign to police... Another bus with license plate 72N 0029 was also stopped for carrying a fake “Bus No. 11” sign... Thai Thi Ty from Dong Nai’s Transport Department said 20 fake No. 11 buses had been spotted and three fake No. 603s had also been identified, as well as other suspect buses on other routes... Fake public buses carry the route number signs at the front and the back while genuine buses carry their route number on their sides, Ty said, adding that fake buses don’t give out tickets and often circle an area looking for customers...
