BUSES' PURCHASE * USA - Grant allows Burlco to buy 24 new buses
PENN,USA -Philadelphia Inquirer (Philadelphia,PA,USA) -Sep. 27, 2008: -- The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded nearly $3 million to N.J. Transit yesterday for bus improvement in South Jersey, allocating more than $1.5 million to Burlington County... The funds will be used to purchase 24 new buses for the BurLink service and Burlington County Transportation Service (BCTS), a key transportation source for seniors and disabled residents... In 2006, more than 90,000 passengers used BCTS. Two other grants will be used to purchase buses in Lakewood and Atlantic City, U.S. Sens. Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez announced yesterday...
