NEW BUSES * Pakistan - First batch of CNG buses hit
Islamabad,Pakistan -PTI/The Hindu (Chennai,India) -15 Mar 2008: -- The first batch CNG buses, assembled in Sharjah using Indian auto parts, has hit the Pakistani market circumventing a ban on import of vehicles from India... The 15 CNG buses, which were imported from Sharjah, are completely built-up units (CBUs) that were assembled and manufactured in the United Arab Emirates using components and parts from India... The issue was discussed in various government forums when a question arose regarding the determination of the origin of the buses since the import of vehicles is not allowed from India according to existing regulations...
