COMPLAINS * UK - We're not happy with bus service

As part of a wide scale probe into the quality of buses in and around Norwich, more than 400 organisations including major employers and community groups, were asked what they think of the buses...

Norwich,England,UK -The Norwich Evening News, by KATE SCOTTER -12 January 2008: -- The gauntlet was today thrown down to bus companies to improve their services to ease Norwich's congestion problems and make the city greener... The message which came back loud and clear through the joint investigation, by Norwich City Council, Norfolk County Council, Broadland District Council and South Norfolk Council, was that many people are sticking with their cars rather than use a bus service they see as not good enough... The councils combined set up a scrutiny committee to probe the situation after complaints about buses to and from the city being continually delayed or not turning up and disabled passengers having limited access to services... Punctuality, journey time and prices were key factors raised by various organisations, giving bus operators a wake up call...
