Publicly Commend * Barbados - Kudos due for Transport Board drivers
Bridgetown,St. Michael,Barbados -The Nation Newspaper - -10 Oct 2007: -- When I first returned here last November from some 40 plus years abroad, I took two Barbados Transport Board buses from Speightstown to Mile-And-A-Quarter via the roundabout route; first through Pie Corner and then via Boscobel... Subsequently, I have been travelling at least once per week between Bridgetown and Speightstown on a return journey, again using Barbados Transport Board omnibuses... On every journey, I am very proud of the skill of these bus drivers. Once I told an inspector on returning to Bridgetown how l was impressed with the ability and skill of the driver of that bus... The particular driver's alertness and lightning reflexes had prevented us from colliding with a wandering, small motor car whose driver had merged his vehicle into oncoming traffic quite dangerously... Finally, I would also like to publicly commend again all the Barbados Transport Board bus drivers with whom I have driven...
