Piketberg,South Africa -News24, by Marius Louw, Die Burger -12 Nov 2007: -- The driver of the bus that left the road and rolled down the mountain at Versfeld Pass, killing 10 contract farmworkers on Friday, is expected to appear in the local magistrate's court on Monday on a charge of drunk driving... A police inquiry has already determined that the brakes of the bus were not functioning properly... Speaking during a visit by Cobus Dowry and Marius Fransman, respectively the Western Cape ministers of agriculture and of transport, Captain Dennis Vollenhoven of Piketberg police station said the bus driver was currently in custody...
