BUSMAKERS' NEWS * UK - Scottish firm in bid to make greener buses
A Scottish company is planning to use hybrid technology to build greener buses, which produce fewer carbon emissions than any other currently in mainstream use
Scotland,UK -Environmental Transport Association (Weybridge,UK) -22 August 2007: -- ... The firm, Alexander Dennis (AD) has said that the hybrid technology it is developing could cut fuel consumption by nearly 40 per cent and would make a dramatic difference to emissions of carbon and pollutants when installed in single and double-decker buses... Researchers working with AD hope to eventually develop a bus which produces no emissions, by storing self-generated energy, which could in turn keep the bus running...
