Public Transport System * Malaysia - Is in a deplorable situation

I would like to focus some attention on the condition of public transport in lpoh

Petaling Jaya,Malaysia -kula.blogsome, by L.H.J. -22 Aug 2007: -- Ipoh’s public transport system has not shown much improvement, besides the addition of a few air-conditioned buses... Almost every bus is in a run-down and dirty state. There is no standard bus fare, leading to varying charges by bus conductors. Some bus conductors do not issue tickets even after the passenger has requested it several times... The bus service slows down immensely after 6pm and comes to a halt around 7pm... The lack of public transport is one of the main reasons why Ipoh is a noticeably quieter town when night falls... Public transport is an extremely important factor in a city’s development, and I urge the authorities to look into this matter and improve the quality of public transport in Ipoh, especially the bus service...
