PURCHASING BUSES * Dubai - RTA to buy 401 MAN buses for Dh1.64b
Dubai,United Arab Emirates -The Gulf News, by Shakir Husain -18 June 2007: -- Germany's commercial vehicle and engineering group MAN will supply 401 passenger buses to Dubai's Road and Transport Authority (RTA) in a 330-million-euro (Dh1.64 billion) deal, a senior company official said yesterday... MAN, which opened a regional office in Dubai yesterday, will have 110 technical personnel based in the city to handle these services. The company is also hoping to get another contract from the RTA for 55 buses and will sell its ticketing systems for the existing buses... "We are discussing putting our ticketing systems on 400 vehicles," MAN Middle East general manager Alexander Smola said...
