A Camtran official said even though ridership is down, there is a need for state-of-the-art buses... "Senior citizens ride free -- they don't pay anything -- so it's important in today's economy of high prices, high fuel costs and medicine," said Ed Cernic of Camtran... Rep. John Murtha , D-Pa., helped obtain the $2 million need to purchase the new buses...
* India - Punjab govt to add 50 buses in PRTC fleet
Mohali-Chandigarh,Punjab,India -The Punjab Newsline Network -31 May 2007: -- Keeping in view to provide better transport facilities to the people of the state, Punjab Government would soon add 50 more new buses in "Punjab Gaurav" series of PRTC. This was stated here Thursday by Master Mohan Lal, Transport Minister Punjab after releasing the Joint Time Table of bus timing prepared by PRTC. While giving the detail the Transport Minister said that under this scheme 43 buses had already been added in the fleet recently...
