England,UK -The Dorset Echo, by Andy Davey -9 April 2007: -- A Group set up to stop incidents of antisocial behaviour spiralling out of control on school buses in Purbeck last year has received a national award... In 2006 the Purbeck Bus Forum was set up amid safety fears following a series of complaints from bus drivers, students and residents, who raised a petition calling for action after a girl was injured on a school bus... The forum drew up a code of conduct for those travelling on the bus and introduced a range of initiatives, including ID cards, creating a bus box where students could report their concerns and segregating boys from girls... It proved such a success that the group, which includes children and staff from Purbeck School, Dorset Police, Purbeck District Council and the Wilts & Dorset Bus Company, has received a national £1,000 respect Award for Taking a Stand...
