Chaska,MN,USA -The Chaska Herald, by Mark Olson -March 8, 2007: -- The Minnesota State Patrol found no buses of concern in a recently completed statewide search of school buses with incorrectly modified brake-systems, according to a Department of Public Safety press release... On Feb. 16, the State Patrol asked school districts to remove any GMC or Chevrolet school buses from service that had undergone a modification that could lead to brake failure... The State Patrol conducts annual inspections of school buses, including brake systems, to ensure safe transportation...
