Items lost on LA buses include mother's ashes, prosthetic leg
Los Angeles,CAL,USA -17Kget -10 Jan 2007: -- If you've lost something riding L-A trains, buses and subways, you could be in luck... The M-T-A's is set to reopen its lost and found in the former Tilfords Restaurant at Wilshire Boulevard and La Brea Avenue today following a 137-thousand dollar renovation. .. Lost and found staffer Lorna Riley says "there's some of everything" in the two-room facility. She says one man came in looking for prosthetic leg that he couldn't find after waking from a catnap on a bus. And a woman reported missing a suitcase containing her mother's cremated remains... But Riley says most of the items are more mundane, like the clothes, books and toys that the lost and found has given to a Skid Row homeless shelter...
