* Germany - Four new hydrogen buses
Berlin,GER -GasWorld.com(subscription -Cornwall,UK), by Kelly Cadwell -Jan 11, 2007: -- The German capital, Berlin, has added four new hydrogen-fueled buses to its fleet. As part of a European Union sponsored project, the four buses help Europe on its way to the hydrogen economy... These hydrogen-fueled prototypes roamed the streets during the world cup when Berlin's passenger volume was at an all-time peak. Klaus Wazlak, spokesman for the Berlin Transportation Company (BVG) said: "The buses proved their worth very nicely during the world cup."...
* UK - West Country gets eco-friendly buses
Weybridge,UK -Environmental Transport Association -11 Jan 2007: -- Bus passengers in two West Country towns can now travel on vehicles hailed as the most eco-friendly in the world... The new park and ride buses use around a fifth less fuel than conventional vehicles and are also cleaner, producing fewer harmful greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, and are being put into operation between Roborough and Plymouth...
