Chicago,Ill,USA -WQAD (Moline,IL) -3 Dec 2006: -- The Chicago Transit Authority plans to install streaming video technology on buses and at rail stations in a pilot project funded by the Department of Homeland Security... The wireless transmitters will be linked to laptop computers and monitors in C-T-A security vehicles and the C-T-A command center... C-T-A President Frank Kruesi says cameras already installed in buses will be used to transmit activity over the new wireless network. The images will be viewed in a moving vehicle within 600 feet of the bus...
