Santo Domingo,R.Dominican -Dominican Today -Nov 28, 2006: -- The interurban autobus public transportation from Santo Domingo to the East of the country, was paralyzed due to a dispute over routes between transport unions... Thousands of individuals that use this service are being affected by the stoppage promoted by the National Transport Council (Conatra) directed by Antonio Marte, who accuses his colleague Juan Hubieres of the National Transport Federation (Fenatrano), of vandalism against Conatra units, seeking to control routes in the region... Marte asked that the National Police intervene, to provide Conatra units with due protection... He denounced that dozens of Conatra units have been attacked destroying windows, by individuals linked to union leader Hubieres...
