The incident occurred when a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation Volvo bus mowed down people waiting at a bus stand... * China - Three killed, 29 injured in bus accident in
Beijing,China -The Hindu (Chennai,India) -Oct. 17, 2006: -- At least three persons were killed and 29 were injured when a bus plunged into a river in northwest China's Shaanxi province... The accident occurred yesterday when the bus carrying 31 ran off the expressway from Tongchuan City to Huangling County, ploughed through railings for 60 meters, and plunged into the five-meter-deep Qishui river... Twenty-five road traffic accidents involving tour buses with 79 deaths had been reported in China by the end of August this year, raising concerns over the safety standards of tourist operations...

* Mexico - Bus Crash Kills 14 in Western
Guadalajara,Mexico -Forbes (USA) -17 Oct 2006: -- Fourteen people were killed Tuesday when a passenger bus crashed into the back of a tractor trailer in western Mexico, officials said. The bus was heading from the Nayarit state capital of Tepic to Guadalajara, Mexico's second-largest city, when it smashed into the trailer and exploded into flames, said Nayarit fire chief Jose Lopez, who said that investigation would be launched to determine the cause of the crash but it appeared likely that the bus was speeding. The area is often foggy, he added...
