New Buses - India - TN to have 2,230 vehicles
Chennai,India -Chennai Online -August 9, 2006: -- The DMK government today announced that State-owned transport corporations would induct 2,230 new buses to augment the fleet strength in the state... Replying to the debate on the demands for grants for his department, Transport Minister K N Nehru informed the state assembly that corporations had been provided with Rs.100 crore for purchase of 1000 new buses... In addition, the government plans to purchase another 1000 buses after obtaining a loan from Tamil Nadu Transport Development Finance Corporation Ltd... These added to the pending 230 buses, yet to be operated, will take the number of new buses to 2230, the minister said...
