Vancouver,British Columbia,Canada -CKNW(AM980)Philip Till -Jul, 28 2006: -- A day after we told you about another assault on a local bus driver, the bus driver's union has released numbers showing violence against its members is escalating at an alarming rate... drivers are being verbally or physically assaulted nearly every second day and we're on track to see up to 240 incidents this year... Union spokesperson Terry Fedoruk says drivers are forced to turn the other cheek. “We're the front line staff, we're the ones that are there that they react to, and we have little or no means of defence or an ability to call somebody to have somebody on the spot"...
