Smaller buses - UK - A cheaper and safer way to connect suburbs

Edgware,England,UK -Edgware Times, by Glen Uzvolk -27 July 2006: -- Alison Fryer notes in her letter last week that the 'bus service is often empty' and that big buses in residential roads have damaged vehicles... Smaller 12 to 18 seater buses should be used to connect the would-be quiet suburban roads to the main arteries of the transport system... These would cause less emissions and be cheaper. Larger buses belong on main roads and those ridiculous long windy buses that cannot turn corners should be reserved for perfectly straight routes with a crane at each end to help them turn around...
