Too Many - Malaysia - Of narrow streets and buses
Kuala Lumpur ,Malaysia -The Malaysia Star, by YIP YOKE TENG -2 May 2006: -- The very place where Kuala Lumpur started has ironically become an area where city dwellers dread entering... Those going there, have to brace themselves for suffocating fumes, ear-splitting honks and congested roads... It is evident as to who the main culprits are – buses... Bus drivers’ impatience and attitude have made matters worse... Motorists interviewed expressed that they would not go to that part of the town unless necessary... The large number of buses should benefit passengers but they also have their share of horrendous experiences. “The drivers seem to be always running short of time, they can't wait to drive off while people are still trying to clamber onto the bus,” said college student P. Poobanees, 20... (Picture: by SAM THAM - Unless you’re catching a bus, the Bangkok Bank area is no place for a walkabout as you will come face to face with suffocating fumes and ear-splitting honks of motorists stuck in the area’s perennial traffic jam)
