Beating death sparks calls for more security
Edmonton,Canada -Edmonton Sun -4 Mar 2006: -- News of the beating death of a man riding a city bus rattled passengers waiting at the Mill Woods Town Centre terminal yesterday... "I don't go on the bus at night-time. I'm scared," said 24-year-old Soney Sandhu yesterday morning. "They have no security in here. They need security."... Carl Johnstone, 17, a daily transit rider, said violence on the bus is increasing... "I've seen people getting the crap kicked out of them, hit on the face, stabbed on the bus - it's unreal."...
