Low-floor - Singapore - Another move is to make public transport more elderly-friendly.

Singapore -Channel News Asia -8 Feb 2006: -- New MRT and LRT stations are already wheelchair-accessible, while older stations are being upgraded. They will be completed by year's end. Now, only 91 out of the 3,500 public buses have low-floor features. But that will soon change as the population is aging and the number of people needing such buses grows. Mr Lee said: "We will introduce slowly low-floor, step-free, wheelchair-accessible buses, as the old buses are retired and we will buy new buses to replace them, with low steps and a ramp for wheelchairs to be rolled on and off the buses"...
