Harmfuls - Bangladesh - Pvt bus operators damage 57 BRTC buses so far
Dhaka, Bangladesh -The New Nation, by UNB -Sep 2, 2005: -- A total of 57 BRTC buses have been damaged allegedly by inter-district private bus operators in last few months out of ill will, forcing the state-sector transport authorities to count Tk 3 crore in loss... Miah M Selim, President of the State Bus Lessee Council, and M Azharul Islam, Secretary of the SBLC, disclosed the damage figures in a written statement... The council of lessees of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) buses said a "mysterious attitude of the police sometimes encourages miscreants" in carrying out the destructive act against government property leased out to them...
