Pasadena,CA,USA -Pasadena Star-News -May 21 2005: -- A RECENT ruling by a federal judge looked like a clear victory for local efforts at smog control versus big industry and the federal government. But it's much too early to cheer... The decision by U.S. District Court Judge Florence-Marie Cooper upheld local regulations requiring fleet operators to buy vehicles using cleaner-burning fuel when replacing old vehicles or adding to their fleets. The effect was to force them to buy vehicles that use compressed natural gas (CNG), since those are the "cleanest"...
