INVESTMENTS - USA - Million Dollar Bus Stop
Washington,D.C.,USA -NPR -May 19 2005: -- ...was head of the Senate Appropriations committee a small item found its way into last year's multi-billion dollar spending bill. It was a proposed bus stop in front of the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, with electronic signs and a heated sidewalk... for $1.5 million. Senaton says only that to build any infrastructure in far away, icy Alaska is "costly."
