Similar to what’s seen inside some banks and convenience stores, the partition is a half-inch thick piece of plexiglass separating the driver from passengers... The goal is to eventually equip every Sun Tran bus with security partitions... But before that happens, operators will test various models over the next few months to see what works best for them and their passengers... Considering Sun Tran provides more than 20 million passenger trips per year, 13 reported assaults on Sun Tran buses last year is actually quite low...
