* Singapore – SBS Transit places order for a further 550 Volvo double-deck buses

Stockholm,Sweden -Volvo's Press release -19 July 2012: ... Volvo Buses has now secured a further order for 550 Volvo B9TL double deck buses with a value over US$ 200 million. The customer, SBS Transit, has once again opted for environmentally friendly Euro V Volvo engines, although these are not yet a requirement in Singapore... SBS Transit is one of Volvo Buses’ most important customers. Since 1981, Volvo has delivered more than 2,000 buses to the Company... The chassis will be produced in Borås, Sweden, while the bodywork that is to be made in aluminium by Wrightbus will be mounted in Singapore...Labels: buses sales
