Report * UK - Says bus service 'unsound'
Powys,Montgomeryshire,Gales,UK -BBC -21 Jan 2009: -- An action plan has been drawn up to improve public transport in Powys after a council report found it to be "unsound"... Internal auditors at Powys Council identified 10 "weaknesses" with the bus service in the county... Among the problems highlighted was the "inadequate" monitoring of drivers' criminal records bureau (CRB) checks... Powys Council said many of the report's 28 recommendations had been implemented... Internal auditors scrutinised the department running public transport after it put new bus contracts out to tender in July 2007...
