Taipei, Taiwan -The China National Post/CNA -23 June 2008: -- Representatives from trucking and bus companies made a pledge to promote traffic safety and better protect pedestrians and drivers of other vehicles... At an event organized by the Jing-chuan Culture and Education Foundation in Taipei, the executives and drivers signed a document to help spread the concept that "Road safety is no accident" as being promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO)... Lin Yueh-chin, chief executive officer of the foundation pointed out that there are an average of 130,000 people hospitalized every year due to injuries inflicted from...Among other activities yesterday, the foundation held the final round of competition for 30 heavy-duty trucks, including trailers, and buses...
