BUSES SAFETY INSPECTION * Australia - Handbrake checks for buses
Sydney,Australia -NEWS.com.au, by Heath Aston -March 22, 2008: -- All 1900 Government-run Sydney Buses are being urgently checked this weekend on concerns that the bus that rolled on to railway tracks at Epping on Tuesday had a faulty handbrake... State Transit last night confirmed "precautionary inspections of handbrakes" at all of its 10 Sydney depots... The unscheduled checks were seen as a sign investigators do not believe driver error caused the incident...
