PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEMS * Singapore - Getting Around via Buses
Getting around Singapore via buses is actually quite easy as Singapore is just a small dot. By being alert and with the right references, you can easily find your way around Singapore
Singapore -wilbursuen.com -February 10, 2008: -- ... Many of my friends call me walking street directory as I know my way around Singapore. Whenever I am unsure of the place or want to find out a better and faster route to get there, I will go online to do some research first. Here are the websites that I go to...
* Transitlink - The Electronic Bus Journey Planner in the website provides you the bus services that you can take to get to your destination. It includes services of both SBS Transit and SMRT. So you get the best of both worlds, ensuring you get to your destination the fastest possible time. When you do an enquiry, you will also get to know the estimated timing and fare.
* SBS Transit - Not only you can find out the routes of the bus services and plan your journey, you can also find out the estimated bus arrival time at the specific bus stop. I really like this technology and I applaud them for making it so convenient for commuters.
* SMRT - You can only do a simple search on the bus routes. No other special stuffs you can do there. I am wondering when will SMRT come out with something beneficial to commuters. I have many things to say about SMRT Buses but I will leave it for a later post.
Extra tip: While you are in the bus/taxi/car, keep yourself awake and see where are you travelling along. You may think it is pointless but it will really help you alot when you are driving. You can pick up new routes too!
