FARE CUT * Philippines - Metro Manila bus group offers

Olchondra -13 Feb 2008: -- The Metro Manila Bus Operators (MMBO) Wednesday offered to reduce the minimum fare for regular buses operated by its members... In a copy of their petition submitted to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), MMBO members said they would like to shave off 30 percent from the minimum fare of P8 for non-airconditioned bus... But the fare reduction will not be granted automatically. LTFRB chairperson Thompson Lantion said the petition has to undergo a hearing just like petitions for fare increases...
