Investigators found a data recorder and video equipment in the wreckage of a tour bus
Salt Lake City,UH;USA -AP, by PAUL FOY-9 Jan 2008: -- ... That may help them determine why it careered off a remote two-lane highway and rolled down an embankment, killing nine people, authorities said Tuesday... The camera that investigators found was mounted to a windshield that shattered in the crash, and it wasn't clear which way the camera was pointed, Serchak said... The data recorder could tell investigators what speed the bus was traveling when it left the road, but it isn't the only place investigators will look for clues. The bus' electronic engine controls can be replayed, and investigators will also examine its GPS device, Serchak said... Federal regulations don't require motor coaches to carry data recorders...
