Wheeling,WV,USA -The Wheeling News Register, by CASEY JUNKINS -November 4, 2007: -- Ohio County Commissioner Tim McCormick has a simple answer to the problem of decreasing ridership on Ohio Valley Regional Transportation Authority buses: send the people where they want to go... And that, McCormick believes, is The Highlands... According to the most recent public bus ridership figures, which cover the 12-month period from October 2006 through September 2007, ridership is down 9.9 percent, or 48,290 riders, for OVRTA and the East Ohio Regional Transportation Authority when compared to the same 12-month period in 2005-06...
