Montreal,Quebec,Canada -The Montreal Gazette -Feb 05, 2007: -- Montreal police are investigating shots fired near a bus in east-end Montreal on Monday after the driver refused to accept invalid transfers from three youths.
Witnesses said they got into a taxi, followed the bus and fired several shots... Police are not certain whether the shots fired bullets or blanks, Montreal police Constable Olivier Lapointe said... According to Claude Benoit, president of the Syndicat des chauffeurs d’autobus et opérateurs de métro, said drivers are attacked “fairly often” over fare payment, but it is rare that shots are fired...
