* USA - Davis District to make school buses greener
Salt Lake City,UT,USA -Deseret News, by Tiffany Erickson & Joseph Dougherty -15 Oct 2006: -- Grant to pay for installing emissions cleaning equipment... Davis School District will be the only school district in Utah and one of only a few districts nationwide to retrofit school buses to be more environmentally friendly... Thanks to a $200,000 grant from Chevron, the district plans to purchase and install emissions cleaning equipment on some of the district's 230 school buses... Brian Larsen, Davis' transportation director said the newer buses are already equipped with the filters, but older buses aren't...
