Vandals - UK - Dozens are stranded as thieves hit buses
Herts,Essex,UK -The Star/Herts Essex News -14 Sept 2006: -- Thieves have left dozens of elderly and disabled people effectively stranded in their homes after they vandalised two community transport minibuses and stripped them for parts... The vehicles belong to the Voluntary Action Epp-ing Forest charity and have had to be taken off the road after the damage was discovered yesterday morning... Now dozens of people who rely on the service for transport have been let down and left without transport... Mrs Mallardo said among the journeys which may have to be cancelled are shopping trips for the housebound and lifts to hospital for elderly people with appointments...
