Shipment - Barbados - Sixty-five new buses for New Year
Barbados -Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation -17 August 2006: -- There are some changes in store for the Transport Board... Chairman Ian Gooding-Edghill says it is getting 65 new buses, as part of a plan to put the board back on the road to profitability... He was speaking in the Senate on a resolution to grant the Transport Board 22 million dollars... This money will make life easier for Barbadian commuters at the beginning of next year when the new units are added to the existing fleet... The Brazilian made buses will arrive on December 31... They are coming with some new features including additional seating, and a roomier area for drivers. About 42 per cent of the existing units are over nine years old...
