Bus Fires -USA - State says 20 buses had battery-related defects
COLUMBIA, S.C.,USA -Associated Press -19 Aug 2006: -- Three South Carolina school buses were found to have a defect that officials say was to blame for two bus fires in recent months... Another 17 buses had a related defect, the state Department of Education said Friday.. The problems were found and repaired in an inspection of all 2,100 rear-engine buses the state operates after a battery cable defect was identified as the cause of the two bus fires...
