Fleet - Australia - More buses for Regional school students
Queensland,Australia -Australasian Bus and Coach -10 July 2006: -- Minister for Transport, Paul Lucas, has announced regional and rural areas will receive forty school buses under a roll-out by the Beattie Government... Regional and rural bus operators will receive their new buses this financial year with the first few rolled out as early as this month... Lucas says the forty new school buses would bring the total number of buses funded by the Beattie Government over five years to 232... The vehicles will offer the latest technology and safety features in line with Queensland's excellent school bus safety standards... Statistics show that Queensland children travelling on buses to and from school are safer than those walking, riding or even being driven to school...
