Strike? - Australia - Buses strike looms
Australia -The Mercury, by TIM MARTAIN -19 Dec 2005: -- METRO bus drivers are threatening strike action early in the new year because of concerns about pay and dangerous working conditions... They have called for prompt action to resolve the issues after a female driver was terrorised on a Metro school bus as it was vandalised on Friday afternoon... Rail Tram and Bus Union state secretary Sandro Amicosante said the students, travelling home from Rosetta High School, tore up the seats on an articulated bus and used them to slide up and down the aisle of the moving bus... Mr Amicosante said damage amounted to several hundred dollars and the bus driver was too frightened of the rowdy students to attempt to settle them down...
