Purchases - USA - District receives funding for new school buses
Ashland City,TN,USA -Ashland City Times, by Candis Ann Shea -26 Oct 2005: -- Nine shiny new buses will be ready to transport Cheatham County students to school next August after county commissioners recently gave final approval to the $696,050 price tag... The county agreed to purchase four-rear engine models - equipped with storage units - and five front-engines ones. Delivery is expected in July 2006... Wilson, director of transportation for Cheatham County schools, said he knows how many new buses the school system will need for several years to come... “We know for the next 15 years what we need to buy"... The school system will need to buy six buses next year for the same reason - with a request for a seventh to replace one requiring too much maintenance for its remaining service time... Wilson said the bus has also become too small for the school district's transportation needs...
